During the first interview lesson with a new student, he was quiet and reluctant to speak.
To open him up more, I presented him with a variety of learning materials that he utilized to strengthen his confidence in speaking.
Like many Korean students, he was not aware of the important mannerisms used during interviews and general conversation with native English speakers because of cultural differences that influence the language.
So he started picking up gestures, intonation and formal language quickly to show the interviewers that he has real-life experience with English. Not only that, his positive attitude and patience showed he is suited to Chadwick's core values.
