This student exhibits a good command of English and a good understanding of grammar rules.
He shows self-discipline by completing his homework in a timely manner, and he is not afraid of challenging himself with difficult content.
One of his short-term goals was to be admitted to an American school abroad.

His personalized study plan was organized into three parts: reading, writing, and vocabulary.

Challenging texts from ISEE were used to improve his reading comprehension.
He was trained to read and think critically and was taught strategies to increase his chances of getting a question right.

As for writing, he was taught a formulaic outline which he simply needs to execute.
He learned which element goes to which part of the essay.
He was also given feedback on how hit the right tone, set the right mood, and address the audience effectively.

He needed to put in extra effort in adding advanced vocabulary to his lexicon.
To enable him to do so, he was asked to write down every unfamiliar word he sees in the reading passage or the vocabulary quizzes on a separate notebook which was used to test how well he internalized the words on the start of every session.
To go a step further, he was given a multiple choice-style vocabulary quiz to review the words he had memorized.

Through his hard work and dedication, he was successful in getting admitted to an American school abroad.
