This student is a junior high school student who has studied with us for three months, with the

goal of entering an international school in Jeju island.

She was very introverted and seemed to get nervous easily.

Although her English and math skills were not great, she was willing to follow instructions and had her mind fixed on the goal.


Her English proficiency was similar to that of an average student studying in Korean public school.

She had intriguing ideas to share but her vocabulary and grammar were weak, limiting her ability to

express them fully. Another challenge was speaking since she tended to get nervous

easily.

How well a student performs at the interview is an important deciding factor in admission.

In order to leave a good impression at the interview,

students need to show the interviewers how goal-oriented they are.

Since this student had specific goals and had given a lot of thought to them,

we worked on helping the student communicate effectively.

We improved her vocabulary first and then discussed ways to elaborate on her dreams.

Due to her limited grammar skills, she needed some help with conveying her ideas.

When she became comfortable with talking about her plans and visions, we then conducted practice interview

sessions with real-time feedback.



Based on the feedback given,

the student went through a cyclic process of improvement so that she could speak in a confident manner.


She had rooms for improvement, and the combined efforts of the student and the tutors resulted in success.
She was accepted into the one school she applied to.
The student was determined to succeed throughout her journey with us.
We hope she will one day show the world what she can do.
