 This student has been studying intensively for the Duolingo English Test at Ivy Education for over a month. She had done a few practice tests already but required a higher grade to pass.
After the speaking and listening assessment (the area desired for improvement), I identified she needed a patterned structure. Although she demonstrated her knowledge of each topic presented during the tests and kept within the time frame, she needed more variation and grammatical care to gain extra points.She memorized and practiced using various connecting phrases for each question type. This way, her opinions and explanations of events flowed without having to plan too much on paper.
Fortunately, her hard work and dedication paid off with flying results. She will continue studying at Ivy Education before she gets ready to explore new opportunities.
