This student is an Elementary school student who has been studying intensively at Ivy Education for the last few months.
She studied reading, writing, and interviews with native English speakers.
From the beginning, I could see that she had the potential to enter her international schools of choice as she showed diligence.
Her strengths were reading and speaking, but she needed the most focus on creating different essays.
Knowing that this student's biggest area for growth was her essay writing, we focused on that as a large part of her personal curriculum.
We used Reading exercises to familiarize her with written English, and to show her new techniques,
we supplemented this with digital learning, both online lessons and educational tools.
These lessons were carried out with native speakers who would ensure her spoken English was up to the standard of her writing.
This student had one-on-one lessons with iterative essay writing, in each lesson
she would brainstorm an essay which she would finish for the next class, and in each class,
her previous essay would be marked and used to focus on what her areas for improvement were.
With practice, she improved her formality and structure.
As her tutor, I could see firsthand how well she progressed, and I knew she was ready for the entrance exams.
